by Mary Bahr, Curator, Elkridge Heritage Society
Knitting together Elkridge history can be picking up acknowledgment of the facts and emotions of its people, including incidents, all of which, from various viewpoints, expand the original story. Read the stories under this tab to enjoy some of the “Knit’n and Pick’n” by our curator, Mary Bahr.
Mary graduated with an MFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and has had exhibitions of her work. For 17 years, she was an assistant to the curator and as staff photographer for the Art History Dept. at The Johns Hopkins University. Mary has also been the on-site administrator at the National Ceramic Museum in Baltimore. Among other things, she has also worked in acquisition cataloging at the Maryland Historical Society as well as administrative work at Maryland Art Place.
