Historic Humor

disclaimerOur curator, Mary Bahr, is having too much fun developing a pictorial history of Elkridge through cartoons. We hope you enjoy them!

  1. Hi Mary: Love the site and the cartoons. Howled over the Dorsey boys discovering Hockley! My sister (whose name is Dorsey Knowles Bethune) and I live in Los Angeles but on the 24th of this month we are going to be dining at the Elkridge Furnace. Is there anything else Dorsey related that we should see while we are there?

On a more somber note my uncle , Ridgely Dorsey of Bakersfield, died on the 9th of April and I’d like to make a contribution to the Society in his name. I suppose I will do that when we get there but perhaps you’d let me know if there is another way to do this as I don’t see a place on your form for “in the name of”.

    Thanks,

    Noël

    • Ah – the website is back now. You may send a check with a note by snail mail to

Thank you so much for considering honoring your uncle in this way!
